Lumion releases Axogram, a free diagramming tool linked to Revit, ArchiCAD, and SketchUp
01
Top story
Architects draw the same diagrams several times per project. The design shifts, an export happens, the diagram gets rebuilt in Illustrator or InDesign, and the cycle starts again. Lumion released Axogram this week, a tool that keeps diagrams attached to the live model in Revit, ArchiCAD, or SketchUp and updates them as the design does. Arrows, labels, zones, and styles sit directly on the model geometry in 3D, and the tool supports several diagram types out of the box: sequence, context, section, and circulation. The free tier allows five saved views at full HD with a watermark; paid annual and three-year plans add unlimited views, 4K output, no watermark, and access to Lumion Cloud for sharing diagrams with clients. Available now on Windows, with macOS support for SketchUp due soon.

ToolingBuildcheck raises $12M with DPR Construction's venture arm joining the round
Total funding reaches $18 million, nine months after the platform's $5.9 million seed. Buildcheck uses computer vision to check construction drawings for errors, omissions, and coordination conflicts across disciplines. DPR's venture arm joined after a pilot, saying the platform improved fast enough to consider scaling it across the business. -
ToolingOpenAI announces Dots, an agent built on GPT-6 Astra for multi-step tasks
Sam Altman announced Dots at OpenAI's DevDay conference, an agent designed to carry out longer, more complex tasks on a user's behalf without someone staying at the keyboard. It runs on GPT-6 Astra, also announced at the event. The launch was framed partly as a response to Meta's Muse agent platform, which has seen strong early uptake.

ToolingEndra Power Studio automates electrical design and produces Revit drawings in hours
At a public demo the night before Autodesk University, Endra showed Power Studio taking an eight-storey mixed-use building through a full electrical design workflow in about three hours: circuiting, cable sizing, panel schedules, and Revit-ready drawings. Endra says the same work typically takes a week. MEP engineers coordinating alongside architecture teams are the primary users. -
ToolingMeta's new VR headset weighs 100 grams
Meta moved the compute and battery into a separate puck worn on the body, bringing the headset itself down to about 100 grams. The lighter form factor could make extended client walkthrough sessions more practical.
Thin day for qualifying items. Several candidates in the shortlist were too sparse to build from, and a few were advertorial in nature. Two quick hits and two tools made the cut.
