Pirros can now check a whole Revit project against codes and specs in one pass
01
Top story
Drawing review is one of those tasks where missing something compounds badly. A code issue found after the drawings go to construction is an RFI at best and a redesign at worst. Pirros has updated its Revit-connected platform to run AI-powered QA/QC checks across an entire project at once, measuring the model against codes, standards, specifications, and performance targets rather than reviewing elements in isolation. The practical shift is scope: the whole project checked systematically, rather than what a reviewer had time to cover before a submission deadline. The announcement didn't include pricing or rollout details, so firms not currently on Pirros will need to reach out directly.

Tooling$12 million in Series A funding for Buildcheck's AI drawing-review platform
$12 million in Series A funding will accelerate Buildcheck's AI drawing-review platform, which reads 2D PDFs directly and uses computer vision to catch pipe-through-column conflicts, missing door ratings in fire-rated walls, and discrepancies between drawings and written specifications. No BIM model is required. The platform's users are contractors, and the issues it catches are the same ones that typically arrive at the design team as RFIs during construction. -

ToolingStructured AI links drawing issues directly to their source Revit element
When a QA check flags a problem on a drawing, Structured AI's platform now traces it to the specific element in the Revit model, so the reviewer sees both in the same session. Project architects and BIM leads running pre-issue reviews will find this shortens the loop between finding a problem and fixing it. -
